It looked like a mutt, mostly Chihuahua, but larger...
What made this dog notable? He had been born with no front legs... he walked almost standing straight up on his hind legs, but would have to stop every 10 feet or so to rest his belly on the ground, then he'd go back up on his hind legs and walk some more... his owner was the nicest lady... she was there, walking her bike beside him, stopping every time he stopped to let him rest...
...apparently, she saved him from the pound when he was a little puppy (he's now 8 years old)... and she said he has brought so much joy to her life, and obviously, she has brought joy to his, because he just looked so bloody happy, with a goofy look on his face. It was hard to feel sorry for a dog that looked that happy ^_^
Anywho... with all of humanity's problems, if a woman can open her heart to an animal born into the world as he was, and they can make each other very happy, then maybe there is hope for the world after all. Saw them later in the day, they were resting on the grass in the shade of a tree... next to each other, it was just a wonderfully soothing sight...:)
