Joe and Chris, I noticed several new members and old alike seem to be pretty upset by the joke. I personally liked it and got quite a grin from it.

I would not want our forum to get a bad rep from even a few fellow cyclists. I would like for everyone to have a sense of humor but that is not going to happen.

Don't worry Sam, after reading a few posts they'll finally get it!

not sure this is such a good idea. If a guy walks in the door; and you can tell right away he just came from a funeral.....would you still pull a practical joke?
The little cues we rely on to keep our behavior within limits are missing when you throw text all the way around the planet. You'll hit people who are hurting.

It was a clever and well done joke. If it ofended anyone they need to get over it. No one has the right to never be offended.

As a new Forum member, thanks for clueing me in on the joke (HeHe?). Initially, I felt like my good name was being drug through the sewers of Baghdad, but I am relieved now. I'm really a nice guy...
