Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hats off to the finishers, a group of us ended up taking a detour in chinatown. We said screw it lets chow down, eat ourselves to death. Fun time.

Thanks Hawkwheels, thanks everybody! I'm still a bit in awe that I won, but I had woke up that morning and told myself that I was going to. My apologies go out to RedMenace, who I promised to ride with for the entire race. After the first checkpoint, I decided to abandon anyone but myself. After the 28th St. Checkpoint, I made up ground on at least 4 people ahead of me - Yatika, Cali, Luke, and his Ringer buddy. Out in Brooklyn, I coulda sworn that Yatika & Cali were gonna take it, and I was going to come in 3rd. They dropped me, twice. (I caught up on a beautiful skitch on the rear doorhandle of a station wagon up the slope part of Park Slope). But after they disappeared on Atlantic Avenue, I guess I chose the better route! That was a great race!

Kevin Dillard has pics from Halloween up at: www.demoncats.com

Video from Goldsprints Friday night is up at: http://bikeblog.blogspot.com/

My good friend Whitesnake posted his "impressions" of Saturday's events with photos at: www.messmagazine.net/mess/ (BIG PLUG TO THE MESS CREW - keep the updates coming!!!)...

Results are up at www.nybma.com - i'm still looking for the complete list (after-party was a little hectic and my co-organizer was a bit twisted by the time we did the awards...)

I'd like to shout out Victor, Hodari, Mike Dee, Mike Dailey from Philly, Trackstar crew, Tone, Kym, Drew, Skye, Izumi, Will, John and everyone else who helped make this happen by doing checkpoints, picking **** up for us and otherwise doing it.

BIG SHOUT to GREG UGALDE - you the man, mayne, for hooking ups up with the ill messenger zombie graphics,

Shout to BLACK LABEL for letting us crash you party (and the messengers didn't do any of the biting of ears, stabbing with knives, or throwing down stairs?!? what is this scene coming to, people?).

BIG UP YOURSELF Austin for taking the Bens and Hugo and Crihs for having the balls to get out there and ride for it. BIG UP Ken Stanek for the win (eye of the tiger, baby), Luke Stiles for 4th place (on a track bike, first week riding a track bike on the street), and his man Magill for the 1st out-of-town.

Thanks to our sponsors: 49-16, Kryptonite, Timbuk2, Chrome, Cat-eye, Reload

and finally, DON'T FORGET ABOUT GOLDSPRINTS, this Friday 11.3 @ LuLu's 113 Franklin St @ Greenpoint Ave.

haha that had to be one of the worst images to get stuck on my screen when my boss walked into my cubicle. We were just both staring right at it for a few seconds before the screen refreshed. Luckily he didn't say anything!
