Northern California - Any good riding around Monterey or Carmel? How about Mendocino? Ashland?

Looking to do a 3-day-weekend trip from the Bay Area with some nice riding (not super hilly) but also wife-friendly stuff (romance, restaurants, etc.). I'm considering Carmel or maybe Mendocino. How about Ashland, OR? This will be in about 2 weeks, by the way, so I think Tahoe, etc. will be too cold.

Thanks for any tips! Lodging advice would also be welcome.
