We are finally about to come to the end of our contract with VERIZON.
A happy time for all !!
My wife is more comfortable carrying a cell fone and I dont mind carrying one
while Im on the road, either. What prepaids do you cellfoners think are the best ?
Right now AMP'd looks pretty good but I know nothing about it other than It looks
like it wouldnt kill us for the 20-30 minutes we might use a month.
Any suggestions ?
I only ask here because I know that what they say you will pay and
what you really do pay are $$$$$$$$$$$$ apart !!

2 other members, which are my parents:rolleyes:. 17 year old sister is bad to the bone so she isn't getting a phone any time soon. Other sisters (4 katie, 8 jackie) too dam young to have a cell phone:D.

sounds about right. cell phones are such a rip off. and they're annoying. I usually need to use one maybe once or twice a year.

I avoided having one up until two years ago when I lived in Pa and my
wife lived in VT. Turnpike and all that stuff.....blah blah blah.....
Now, its nice to have one here just cuz where I ride there is no civilization close by.
I think I m going with Virgin...they are the only ones with straight, pay-as-you-go for
.18 a minute. At .18 a minute I will pay about .54 a month :roflmao:

I find it's a necessity for my work. You're just expected to have a cell phone, it's that simple. I keep it switched off when I truly don't want to be disturbed--after hours, in court or in conference with a client.

Only reason i have a cell hpone is because im 16 and i drive, so my parents want to know where i am at or if something happens i have communication. you can get a pre-paid phone for $40 from T-Mobile with 60 minutes on it.
i pay 35 from virgin for 300 daytime and 1000 nights
not that i ever use them, but you know if i wanted to

What are your parents so worried about ;)
I guess I am glad to have grown up knowing what it was like getting a flat tire miles from home and trying to hitch a ride home at 2AM without 'communication'.
So how much per minute after that initial $40?
