Hello max,

Read the directions that came with your helmet. You are not supposed to paint it. Paint will damage the helmet in a way that you may not be able to see. That "invisible" damage will weaken the helmet and reduce it's ability to protect your head.

Maybe it's a WW1 Kaiser helmet with the spike on it.

/almost as old as the bike, methinks.

//I'm kidding, max.

I know that...
My helmet is the cheap kind with the styrofoam protection part and a cheap plastic color shell part. I took the plastic part and painted it. Is there a difference?

Ok. I have 2 pictures here. I took each one on a different mode, so they are all different qualities.

Max - I'm with the gentlemen on the safety issue. Your head is far more important than a paint job. But I will concede that you did nice job with the paint (in other words, nic pics). :) But DO have your dad or a trusted adult check it out (take it to your local bike shop) to ensure it will protect you properly if you were to land on your head.

No paint touched the styrofoam part. At all. The color part was detached and painted seperatly, and the head protection part was just in the garage. I don't think that the level of the protection would be any different if nothing touched the helmet (especially not paint) in the last 3 days.
