Southern California - Sunday, Nov 5 OC coastal ride

Have some Halloween candy to work off? How about a nice 50-60 miler this Sunday?

This will be a social, no drop ride.

When? Sunday, November 5. Meet at 7:30am, ready to roll at 8:00am sharp.

Where: Bonita Creek Park in Newport Beach (University and La Vida off of Jamboree). This is the same starting point as the Santiago Canyon Ride (back on July 30th) and last the OC coastal ride on September 17.

Route: Undecided, other than north on PCH from Newport Coast. Maybe up to Long Beach. High probability of a post-ride lunch.

Yup...but the Spring one is much smaller. I'd say about 1/2 the Velodrome infield...whereas the Fall takes up the whole space.

So Im gonna go, ill meet u guys at the san gabriel river bed and pch or possibly even further down south on pch specially since ur rolling at eight. I can leave my house at seven and be at HB pier around 8. Lemme know whatll work best...

Good idea. That's PCH and Warner. Across from the Jack in the Box is a Mobil station -- we'll make that a rest stop. We're rolling at 8:00am, so we should be there around 9:15-9:30ish I think. Sound ok?

I'm a maybe pending childcare and replacing my rear tire...but if I ride, I'll plan to start from HB, meet you at Bonita Creek and then drop off on the return at some point.

How about if we ride to Sugar Shorts' house? I'll volunteer to change her rear tire unless Voltman wants to fight me for it :)

but didn't see one. There's a phone number, perhaps someone will answer with an address. It's a big park, though, and with the map you should be able to find it.

Is this ride for sushi lovers only? I talked Gina into doing the ride, if you don't mind us tagging along?

Will it be easy enough to find the way back if we can't hang and turn around early?...I'm not real familiar with that area.

Yeah, I think so. You know SART, so you can always jumps on that from PCH, or whatever. The route is pretty simple, with just a few main roads.
