DBD. Is that going to be your first race of the season? If it is, how are your preps going. We don't hear too much about rides like that in the UK so let us know how it goes.

Hey Bokkie. It will be my first race although it is not the first race of the series. The first one was a total bust.

Preps have gone well. I should be able to place in the top 3 this year which will be a good start. I will let you know how it goes.

I will be racing, although not MTB. I am doing the road circuit race on Saturday.

Going down Friday night to party and then wake up (if I sleep) early to race and relax and spectate the rest of Saturday.

Will they let us just ride around the track?

You can not ride ON the track but you can ride around it;)

So Styk, are you riding solo or do you ride with a team?

DBD. Can you describe the track and what it looks like? Does it cover fast ride only, slower technical stuff, jumps, distance, water, that sort of thing?

DBD. Can you describe the track and what it looks like?

Let us see ........ it's brown, has grass on both sides and goes down a hill. Oh yeah, there are some trees along side also:p

Well if you are asking about the DH course, it is a very simple one but fun. It is a combination of double and single track designed some what like a BMX track. Very smooth, about 4 or 5 table tops about 5 to 6' high, a stair step that drops about 7' but to clear it you need to be moving as fast as possible. There are also a couple rock gardens about 20' in length but are very easy to hop over at speed.

This year they are adding 1.5 miles to it so now it should take approximately 2 min (top 5 finishers). They are also adding a long section that needs to be pedaled through. As for new stunts, I'll have to wait and see.

It is not the most exciting or challanging course but it a very fun course and combined with all the other activities there the whole expieriance is a blast.

Now if you want to know about the XC, DS, Mtn. X, DJ or road courses ask some one else. I have not heard anything about them yet for this year.:D

Bokkie, you and yours should make the treck out here to the States and check it out for your self;)

Thanks, DBD. We aim to get US way sometime in June/July but are still trying to work out where to go and what to do. Little 'ol England is small enough to get anywhere reasonably quickly but you guys have too much land!

DBD, if we ever get out to California, we'll certainly try and touch base with you and yours. I guess California has some really fine steak houses, something that has been a mission of ours to find in the UK when we came over in 1997!
