Hello Everyone,

Its been about 13 years since I have been on my roadbike, which I used to ride atleast an honest 300+ miles a week. I used to ride on the San Gabriel River trail, the Rio Hondo trail, and the LA river trail every day (Los Angeles Area). Then I hung the bicycle up and just quit, and got fat. Now that I have lost enought weight to feel like I can get back on the saddle, I dusted off my old Schwinn, threw some new 700x25c tires on it, and gave it a tune up. Now I am ready to get back to my old trails, and plan to start biking to work in 6 months (if my training goes as planned, since my commute to work is 20 miles). I used to hang around O'Neil Schwinn in Monterey Park CA back when I was a true cyclist, it is no longer there, so I need a new LBS, anybody know of some good ones in the San Gabriel Valley CA.

Not too familiar with the San Gabriel Valley, but Coates Cyclery in Pomona would definately be worth the drive. Great shop.

p.s. Check out the So Cal regional forums.

Future commute will be a little over 20 miles. I gotta ways to go, currently I get tired at 10 miles and I do not want to be tired when I get to work. I have found some good LBSs and been spending money on some needed gear and parts. It feels good to be back in the saddle again. I will make it over to the clydesdale and check it out.

Thanks everyone.
