Just wondering if anyone has shopped at Air Bomb: http://store.airbomb.com/Index.asp

If so, can you tell me what sort of service they provided? Were you happy with the ordering and shipping process? Did you get what you ordered as expected in a reasonable amount of time?

Thanks!

My handlebars were shipped quickly, I live in Califoria though. I don't know what customs would be like.

I ordered a bunch of stuff from them in one large order last Feb. including a set of 700c rims. It took longer than most internet companies for the stuff to arrive (around two weeks if I remember right and I live in California). The rims they sent were 26" instead of 700c. So I sent them back to exchange for the right size. The package returned with the right size but there was only one rim:0 I had to call again to ask them to send the other rim. The employees I talked to on numerous calls were curteous but they sounded very young. Or maybe it was the So Cal surfer twang. Beats me but I won't order there again.

yeah I'v gotten a couple things here and there. The shipping is a day or two slower than larger houses, but it's all good in the end....

Concur.
Their lowball prices are more than offset by high shipping charges.

They have little stock. When you order, they order. Thus your turnaround is extended by the time it takes them to get what you ordered. Jenson USA seems to stock a lot more. Their prices are higher but their shipping lower. Nowadays I go to Cambria first.

Hi, I live Canada and I have ordered severals times from AirBomb. Never had any problem with them, reasonnable shipping time and every thing in stock. If you come accross BeyondBikes on the net, there are the same oufit. One thing to consider,if you get your order shipped to Canada, you will have to pay the GST and PST and then you will get nailled with brokers fees which are sometimes, actually most of the time UNREASONNABLE. I always get my order ship to a shipping/receiving compagny in NY state. I live a short drive away from the border. I pick up my order and then pay the GST/PST at the crossing. If the custom officer is in a good mood you might get away with the taxes.

I've purchased a few things from them. They seemed pretty low-tech compared to Performance and such, with their online ordering and tracking/notification. But the stuff I bought arrived intact and in a reasonable time frame. I'm in California, U.S.

They are fine, but you need to price out your whole order with shipping also. I have sometimes found their shipping charges make their total selling price higher than other online vendors. They are pretty regular listers through qbike searches.

Their return policy sucks so I only use them as a last resort.

I bought a pair of Tektro calipers from them a few months ago. Cheapest price I found anywhere. Shipping was all right.

so far, i've read mixed reviews on this site.
although i haven't ordered from them, i'm a bit reserved in doing so.
I'm patient, but I don't want to get mixed up in them sending me the wrong item IMHO

i'll just stick with cambria for now.

good luck with your decision

The problem I've had with Cambria is that they don't seem to actually carry much stock so things always seem to be back ordered. This is fine if the price is great and you're not in a hurry. Otherwise...

Same here, I bought some bike stuff and tools from them, nothing major though. Nice price at the time, no problems.
