My backwheel is starting to move side to side a little bit. What causes this? Is it easy to fix, and what tools would I need to be able to do so?

Could be that the cones on your axle are not tight against the bearings in the hub. Happens to one of my wheels every so often. Check to see if they are loose, and if so tighten them.
