Mountain Biking - What's the difference between these bikes?

I need to know what the difference is between these bikes. I know the components are different, but are the frames the same? What are the prices?

Giant Boulder/SE
Giant Rincon
Giant Yukon
Giant Iguana

My budget's around $300; I need something lightweight in comparison to intermediate bikes, so maybe I can upgrade it down the road.

i tried all of those 4 in the store and they all felt very different. I ended up geting an Iguana, which felt the best. Try them all and see for yourself.

i actually ride an Iguana -- its a lighter frame then the rest and had disc tabs. i upgraded the #@!$# out of it and now its my main XC bike. i reccomend it for a good starter bike.

How does the Iguana compare to the Gary Fisher Wahoo? The Iguana seems to have better derailleurs, but the Gary Fisher frame has a longer top tube, which is one of the things I'm looking for.

I don't know about the Gary Fisher, but if you like the feel of the frame better you should consider it more, or at least another Fisher with the same geometry. Don't underestimate the value of a bike "feeling right" when you are on a long ride.
As for the original four bikes, the Boulder has the basic aluminum frame. The Rincon is slightly stronger but I don't know if it is lighter. I believe the Yukon has the same frame as the Rincon, but much better components, etc. The Iguana actually has a further refined frame that Giant describes as being similar to their high end hardtails.
As I said, I don't know much about Gary Fisher other than they are owned by Trek. I ride a Trek hardtail and have been quite satisfied with it to date and I would expect similar from Fisher.

Thanks everyone for your input. I've decided to go with a high-end used bike instead. For $250 this Trek 7000 MTB isn't too bad, IMO. Even though it's been owned twice before, I don't mind reconditioning it and upgrading it if it needs it. I'm to pick it up next weekend.

Two thing I see from the pics, One, you're gonna need a new tire, the knobbies on the rear are almost completely worn off. This bike was probobly used extensively on the road.

TWO, and more of a concern is the pic of the rim. Is that a stress crack at the rightmost spoke nipple? If so, figure a new rim is in store for you!

It could just be dirt, but if not, I'd take the negative feedback and move on!
