hi
i recently picked up an older bsa frame and parts and i am trying to identify the year. it does have a 1957 license on the seattube but i think it is older than that. it is dark green and it the streamlight model. it has all the appropriate decals and headbadge. i came across a serial number on the net for a bike made in 1944 and it had a serial number of T136102, the bike i have has a SN of T149947. if the numbers are sequential it doesn't seem llike a lot of production between 1944 and 1957. the rear wheel has a BSA branded 3 speed hub but no date. it also has a hole through the top tube about 1/4 in. in diameter around the middle of the tube, any idea what this might have been for? any help appreciated. thanks
