I haven't in years, but I'm looking to start up again this year, so I'm looking to buy some skis. Does anybody know a good ski forum where I can ask equiptment questions. I searched Yahoo for "ski forum" and it pulled up nothing really usefull.

When I can afford the lift ticket....

Telemark, nordic(XC), or alpine(downhill)?

telemarktips.com "telemark talk" is good for telemark and heavy backcountry XC.

Nordic seems to be served best by scandinavian forums, but I only really speak english.

Alpine forums I don't know, but I do know a bit about alpine past and present so shoot.

I ski 6 to 10 times every winter. But lift passes are getting a little out of hand. I've been skiing a long time and I love it. It's one of the few things that makes winters in NEw England tolerable.

I have Rossignol "Energy" skis with Marker M9.1 Kevlar Bindings (from 2003 I think) and I use Dalbello Carvex Extremes for boots. It's a good all mountian ski for someone of my size and ability.

Alpine skiing. Just looking for a good all mountain intermediate ski. I'll be skiing in New England and maybe in Colorado. I was actually looking on Ebay. They have some used demo skis for some pretty good prices, I don't mind a few scratches but I'm not sure about the Demo adjustable bindings though.

You can get new bindings to mount on the old skis, it's generally not a problem unless it's been done several times already.

Where are you? The snow makes a big difference.

I use the K2 mod-X which was the last of the USA K2s, and a few years old now, but they tear up the cascade crud very much like the Rossignol Bandit XX that I demo-ed a few years ago.

This forum covers downhill pretty well, it was suggested last year by my good friend Telenick.
