I just got an Mountain Hardware Link Windstopper fleece jacket. It's perfect for winter cycling. Windproof front and back. Not bulky. Has a thin, but effective thermal lining. Breathable side pannels and under the arms. Nice high soft collar with cinch cord. Snag-proof non-metal zipper. Intelligently placed pockets.
Everestgear.com has them on sale for under half price, $160 reg, $77 on sale. I ordered it on Thursday, and with standard free shipping, it arrived on Saturday, from Ohio to Maine.
If you can spend a bit more money, the Windstopper Tech Jacket would be even better. It has the additon of articulated sleeves and extra-long, pit zips. Reg $184, sale for $125.

Additionally, I found the perfect winter cycling cap. It's Outdoor Research's Rando Cap. It's Gortex, wind and waterproof with a fleece lining, has a short bill with a flexible wire brim stiffener. Has ear flaps that extend down to form a chinstrap.
