Southern California - I like the "Don Not Call" list....

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

.....but I wish the political messages didn't get an exemption. They are infuriating. I think I won't answer the phone until after Tuesday.

I had 4 on my answering machine and 3 hangups just yesterday. So annoying.
And now it's just a machine calling, so you can't even pick it up and lambast a live person.

Also annoying is the half square mile worth of trees I've thrown away (well, recycled) in the form of ads stuffing my mailbox.
i cant imagine how many signs are out there on the streets. i probably saw at least 20-30 signs on the ride today.

I was seriously considering abandoning whatever positions/candidates I plan to vote for in favor of simply voting *against* whatever candidate/ballot prop I got phone-spammed by.
However, that would be just as stupid as voting *for* something based on a phone-solicitation, and would require actually *listening* to the messages. I've simply stopped answering the phone for blocked numbers and numbers I don't recognize.

John and Ken suggested that people keep a list of every candidate you get a call for, then vote for the opposition, no matter what party!

Caller ID.
Don't recognize, don't answer!!
Then they can leave a voice mail that I will never listen to!
OMG I listen to those messages and I vote exactly on what they tell me.

It's bad enough to get the messages at home, now I'm getting them on the cell phone, ugh. Not to mention all the flyers in the mail either or the signs all over the place or the people that come by asking if they can place a sign for a candidate I've never heard of or the people that come around speaking on the behalf of some candidate I've never heard of or all the annoying commercials on t.v.
I can't wait for tuesday to pass.

I'll never ever vote...
I'll never ever vote...
Thankfully there is an age requirement for voting in this country...

I used to listen to John and Ken, but after a while John just really gets annoying
