Hi all,

I'm shopping around for Dura-Ace, Ultegra or 105 hubs and I've noticed I can't seem to find a 36H version before 2006. Just wondering if its because they weren't made in 36H before 2006 (Shimano road hubs).

Shimano 36 hole road hubs have always been available, but rare.

Ok, guess the search continues. Thanks Svr

Nashbar currently has 105 8/9-speed 36-hole rear hubs.
36-spoke wheels were the norm through much of the 80's, but 32-spoke wheels have become the standard now. Shimano has never stopped making 36-hole hubs as Svr notes, but they've become quite rare.
