ok, so i have a frame laying around from a 99 specialized fatboy 415. im looking to put one of those bent lowrider forks on it. the only problem is, the stock steering tube on the fatboy is 1 1/8", and all the bent forks i see on lowrider bike part websites have head tubes that are too small in diameter. how can i overcome this obstacle? are there some kind of special shims for forks/headtubes? any help is greatly appreciated.

There are adapters that allow you to use a 1" fork in a 1 1/8'' head tube. You'll probably have to special order it through your LBS. Good luck with your project.
