I didnt take as many pics this time because Sassy was with me. She follows hand commands on the trail so we need to keep moving. By the way it was her best run ever, she passed a bunch of riders on the dwnhill today. I was so very proud of her, she did so well. Sassy is 10 years old and did near 18 miles today, and she was shredding it up.:D

What do you mean poor Sassy, she loves it. She went back on Sunday too, but she wouldnt eat her breakfast so she had to wait in the car. She would bonk hard if I had taken her with no food.

Great pix Sean..it is really beautiful up there...I hope I can up there some time to ride..but I need to work on my skills first... I have no idea what I am doing as Tracy can attest to from our friday ride...
How does Sassy keep up? Does she know to stay off to the side of the trails?

We had several first timers on Saturdays ride, they did just fine. We help em out, give a few pointers and they have at it. Most walked through a couple of sections, but overall tehy rode most of it. The ground is really soft from hundreds of years of foliage falling to the forest floor. Ive crashed many times, its almost like falling on a bed.
Sassy not only kept up, she passed alot of slower people. the trails are twisty so she manuevers them just fine. She always passes on the left. She also always runs on the trail, even if she falls behind, she knows the trail will lead to me. If I dont hear her behind me, I slow down and let her catch up. She gets better every time out. She was great this saturday.

Thats a great idea. We do that every year for the out of towners. We ride either Demo or UCSC depending on the conditions.

Good pics Sean.
That's one tough dog to go with the bikes.
Santa Cruz is a great place to ride, like no other I've ridden on.
Hope to make it up there again.

It is a special place. Downiville near Tahoe is pretty great too, simular but alot more rocks. Evry mt biker needs to ride Downiville and Mr Toads in Tahoe, as well as Hole in the Ground in Tahoe. May as well make a 3 day weekend of it.:D

Great video's. I was riding while watching that. I had done alot of the rides so it felt like I was there. Cant wait for the snow melt, Im raring to go. It is so fun riding there. You do a run, have lunch and beer in town, catch another shuttle and bomb down a different route. Ahhhh what a life.:D
