I have yet to get my rear Derailleur adjusted where I am happy. What I am looking for is a barrel adjuster that I can install on the cable where it comes out of my Sora shifter so I can fine tune the derailleur as needed while I ride. Anyone have any recommendations?

They're out there. Did you try your LBS? Shouldn't be expensive. There should also be a coarse adjuster at the downtube braze-on cable stop, but this is inappropriate for minor tweaks.

I did try my LBS and we tried a bunch of catalogs with no luck. The downtube cable stops are below the tube on the Burley. Also those stops are non threaded. They are just a simple aluminum sleeve that the cable housing sits in.
I do realize that this is sort of putting a band aid on a poor adjustment but I am at my wits end. I have the adjustment perfect in the top 3 and bottom 3 cogs but the middle 3 try to climb up a gear. If I get the middle working well than the top and lower gears suffer. I think if I could tweak while I ride I could probably come up with a good overall adjustment.

Hi Gary,

Let me look in my shop, somewhere I have 5 or 6 very nice in line adjusters. If I can locate them I'll give you one.

Tom

There is also this barrel adjuster (http://www.bikemannetwork.com/biking/p/COMPCBLADJ/BR4043i) that I like.

When I looked for an inline barrel adjuster, that is what my bike repair shop suggested. You slide it in the hole and it works like a normal screwed-in adjuster, except it fits in a non-threaded hole and the two stops keep the adjuster in place. Quite easy to use with only one hand.

I installed one on my tandem to help adjust the rear brake. The normal adjuster installed near the brake is way to far back!
