I want to thank everyone that replied with their input. I went with Avid Arch Rivals with SD7 levers and Shimano XT 8 speed shifters. I also ordered 2 pairs of padded bike shorts. Ordered everything from Pricepoint.com and really looking forward to installing everything. I like to work on things, and never worked on bikes before. I'm really looking forward to learning more about them.
