Bicycle Mechanics - Ultegra Chainring w/ Dura Ace
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Okay, this is pretty simple. I just want to know if it's all good to ride an Ultegra chainring (big chainring to be exact) with Dura Ace parts (chain, small chainring, and cassette). I'm assuming it is, since everything else is compatible, but I'd just like to make sure.
The Ultegra chainrings( both big and small) are fully interchangeable with Dura-Ace chainrings. Functionally there is no difference.
In fact, it will likely last much longer than the D/A ring would.
