I'm wearing the Specialized MTB Comp shoes, and eggbeaters. My big toes are going numb and it takes a long time for the feeling to come back. I thought it was the cold, but now that it's warmed up, the feeling is still there. I used to not have this problem when I used the Shimano 636 platform pedals, even with these same shoes. Also, the cleat is about half an inch forward from where I used to have the 636, it's about right in the middle now. I'm going to move the cleat as far back as possible soon, but was wondering if anybody else has heard of this problem, and if it is in fact related to the cleats. My guess is that my shoes are flexing a little bit and I'm putting alot of pressure on either a nerve or blood vessel that goes to my big toes. A guy I ride with that works at a local bike shop has an Enduro with eggbeaters, but different shoes, and he's having the same problems, except one side much more than the other. Any ideas are appreciated.
