Oh my god... We're getting pounded by an April snowstorm right now.  We're supposed to get 6-9 inches through tonight...   It's APRIL . What the heck is wrong with nature??? This winter just won't end !!!

This seriously is horrible. My big races of the season come pretty early this year, and I've got hardly any real trainingon the road, let alone the track. Oh, don't worry though, I probably have the most trainer miles of everyone here...

Ugggg! Go ahead, feel free to let loose, you north-easterners. I hear ya already!

I think with the spring we've had this year there should be enough demand for Joe to add a "Weather Complaints" forum. This would allow everyone except Chris L to complain about the cold rotten wet weather most of us have been experiencing. Chris can complain about how hot and dry it is down there, but I don't think he'll get much sympathy! :D

Hey, that's a good idea! I'd certainly be in there a lot...;)

I was just getting ready to comment on the fact that Tuesday and Wednesday this past week I rode in my shorts. Saturday one of my water bottles froze during the 32 mile ride in 22 F degree weather. That's April in Chicagoland!

My buddies and I will be talking about this past Saturday's cold ride come July!

All of our snow melted, atleast almost all of it. After I got all excited to start training and riding on trails, it snowed again and the snowbanks are back up to 4 feet tall.....what a bunch of sh*t.

I'm supposed to be biking in England where is is actually spring (8 -12 C)
http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/ukweather/southwest/index.shtml
but I got a teaching contract so I'm actually still in Toronto where we've suffered 4 days of freezing rain and ice pellets and are just waiting for another winter storm to hit with 10 cm of snow. Last year I lost 5 days of winter biking. This year I've lost 17!!!
I can't even bike to Hamilton because most of the trails are covered in 5 cm of ice!!!
Where is the justice???
Where is spring????

Yea, my dad is going to the Texas Hill Country ride next week and yesterday was the first day in a long time conditions have been right for a 100 ride. Of course, I didn't go for the full 100. Hell, I was only there for about 5! But that's not the point. Now it's snowing like crazy the day after a 100, just crazy.

Yep, we also have snow forecasted for tomorrow. My biggest irritation is the damage the salt does to the bike......

At least snow doesn't cause bruising like baseball sized hail. . .

You think that is bad. March 17 - March 19 we got pounded by a spring snow storm and received 36 " . The whole town was shut down and snowed in. It was kinda nice though because a week later it was all melted. And it helped our drought problem. Worst storm in 90 years !!!! And again it is snowing. I live in Colorado when you can get 4 seasons in one day !!!

Oh when, oh when can I get a nice day to ride?...oh when oh when can it be?

Instead of breaking in the new bike, I got home today to shovel for 1 1/2 hours instead!

I've got spring fever, and its making me sick! :(

That storm in NYC is also moving through southern Ontario, but it's SKIPPING US IN QUEBEC! Which is fine with me because we got snow and freezing rain this past weekend. I feel for you all!

I totaly hear you Velo, I'm in the Detroit area, and we got it befor you did, and it's mighty dissapointing...I went to florida during the last week in March, and did some tandem riding for a week, got 170 miles in, and hoped to return to all be it colder temps, but hopefully dry roads to ride on!! and I got this...I think I've been on the rode bike ONCE this year excluding the florida trip, that sucks...Hopefully though it'll go away soon and we can get the outdoor season going..

I have decided just to go to bed until it's over.

Someone please wake me when it hits 60F three days in a row.

I feel guilty for complaining about the weather. We got two days of absolutely gorgeous weather in the Chicago area last week. I got almost 6 hours of riding in on those days!

fink! it's actually snowing here in Mtl, just light flurries though. It's melting as it hits the ground. This is the result of that big storm in the NE, it's brushing past us. However, it's supposed to be much nicer tomorrow, a high of 6 or 7. But it's pretty gloomy and crummy right now- it's making me feel sleepy!

Hmmm... I don't think I will tell you all what the weather is like where I live. I might be severly beaten with an inner tube.
