Hi everybody (Simpsons watchers, that was Dr. Nick Style),

I actually found this website looking through ravio.com (http://www.ravio.com)'s portfolio, and boy am I glad I found it!

Here's some info about me if anyone was curious:

Location: Southern Fairfield County, Connecticut
Bikes: Trek 4100 (mine, I have road tires if I want to do some road biking)
Clubs: Soon to be Sound Cyclist (dad already is)
Other Hobbies: Roller Coasters, Cars

Also in my family's bike garage is an Aegis Aro Svelte (yellow), Trek 2300 (blue/black), and a Cannondale Crosscut Hybrid (red).

My dad is the family's really avid biker and has done many rides including a cross country ride in 22 days (he didn't opt for the fast time of 12 days because you get near 2 hours of sleep a night on that one) and every year he rides the Hotter 'N Hell and Hill Country Easter Tour in Texas as well as the Bridge ride in NYC and any other rides he can.

Also, we go to many different vacation spots with him so he can ride, but sometimes he even goes without us. Exotic places for riding so far: Hawaii, France, Ireland and Spain.

As you can see, my family lives around bikes, mainly because of my father.

However, I'm starting to really get interested in biking and it seems like there's a great community both here and in real life. Don't let me down!

Well, that's about it for now, but if you have any other questions about me or my dad or anything else, feel free to ask!

Shane

Welcome to the forum, Shane. I think it's cool that you're getting interested in cycling - it's something you and your dad can do together. Don't ever underestimate the family togetherness thing. It'll get more important as you get older. I'll look forward to your posts.

Ha! Yea right! That one's his baby, doesn't go out if there's a spec of water on the roads. Well, that may be an overexaggeration, but honestly, if the conditions are questionable, it's most likely the 2300 for him :p .

If/when I get more into road biking (which should be pretty soon), my first bike will be the Cannondale (which the name actually comes from the train station nearby, I can tell it if you guys want) which is fine- or I can put some road tires on my bike, and have it look pretty funny ;) .

Besides, I don't know if I would want to ride it, that's 2500 out of my pocket :p .
