... well it wasn't really a group... just 3 people. But man it was a blast! It was also my first time riding in a paceline, and I was just amazed at how fast we were going.

Man I love this sport!!

Keep looking for a bigger group. If you like riding with 3 people - you'll love riding with 15 or 30.

I went on my first group ride last month. It was quite an experience. I been on four group rides since then, and I'm finally starting to adjust to finding/riding in the draft!

Congrats on your ride!

deliriou5 - check out www.shorecycleclub.org

We are a club in south Jersey and had two rides (B and B+) yesterday with 9+ people in each. Our club rides specifically have a "No Drop" policy and we get together for the very reason you mention. To ride better, faster and enjoy the company of other like minded folks. Several of us generally try to take in lunch/breakfast at a local diner after the ride. Check the "rides" section on Thursdays for all rides on the weekend. There are several rides on a permanent basis and the added rides are published by Thursday. Come on out and join us! Everyone is welcome.

Yeah, I've heard of the shore cycle club, but I live closer to the Philly side of South Jersey (Cherry Hill, to be exact). I'm considering joining our local club (OCSJ), but I'm still intimidated by riding with total strangers, and I'm still not privy to the details of group ride etiquette. I love riding in the Pine Barrens area - that's where I do most of my rides. Thanks for the invitation, though!

Are you planning on doing/have you ever done the MS150 City to Shore? I am signed up this year!

it's really something amazing to see cyclists as far as they eye can see, and you are riding right in the middle of it :)
