Does anyone else have high clearance Motocross style fenders? For wet snow or mud.
Do you have a photo?

They fell out of fashion in the DH set a few years back and I got them out of the bargain bin. I've never bothered with full fenders. No photos here.

^^^ actually snow gets my bike pretty clean.

My Enduro with fenders & Nokian Extremes ready for winter.
I need to install a Crud Catcher below the down tube because the front fender doesn't do much aside from look nice.

I think it was the middle of summer.
It must have been taken before bike forums, I had not learned to put the chain on the big ring before taking photos.

Thanks Viper.
I like the looks of this Enduro. This bad boy has a 6" travel fork & a BEDT link that gives him 6" in the frame too. He's got the Specialized Enduro rear fender and Crud Catcher. Maybe I will go for a similar setup sometime.

^^^ What a Machine!

^^^ I'm seriously considering putting an extra 8" rotor from my FR bike on the front of my XC rig for the winter. It would be pointless, and heavy, and not a good idea with standard dropouts... but since I have the parts I just might do it anyways.

That would look mean like those Sport bikes with the dual Rotors on the front :D

^^^ Indeed, but I think I'll wait on the fork changeover first.
Putting a big 203mm rotor on my old SID SL (with 17,000 km on it) is just asking for a cruel lesson in metal fatigue.

I went out to MEC last night and bought a "Crud Catcher" and mounted it for todays commute. Athough the temp. today was -11C degrees the roads were slushy from the traffic. The Crud Catcher kept my bike & front deraileur relativly clean.
The best $4 I've spent in a long time. Highly recommended.
