General Cycling Discussion - Human Powered Bus

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

They've had one of these going in North Sydney for a few years. We're also thinking of doing one for Ride to Work day on the Gold Coast this year. I might hang on to that link.

I'd hate to be the last person on the bus route. Imagine being the only passenger and having to pedal that thing on your own.:D

2,500kg divided by 32 cyclists = 78kg of bus per person! and I thought that my Steel MTB was heavy!!!
I wonder what speed difference there would be between students and some Tour de France guys?

78kg ?? That's a lot!! I guess once it starts moving, things should be easier.
New for the Tour de France, team bus stages!!!! Nine men, one bus, 100 miles...Who will finish first??

I think if you got 32 tour riders on that bus you'd start breaking things... like the bus!
