Foo - meeting girls..

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

classes, events, house parties, weddings, friends of friends, etc. are just a few.
i think the key is to be able to run into the "target" (hehe) again. picking up a complete stranger is tough. it's better if you can talk to them a second or third time. the biggest hint i can give you is this: make friends with girls. girls have friends who are girls and can set you up.

Try to get involved in some groups!! I met my boyfriend from a local riding group on-line. :) We started riding together, he saved me from diaster with another yicky guy and the rest they say is history!!

Volunteer for something worthwhile. Since most guys are lazy self-centered numbnuts (I'm such a traitor), they can't be bothered to help their fellow man. So you help others and at the same time appear to be a worthwhile human being.
...The other benefit is you meet lots of hippie chicks, and they are extremely freaky in the sack!

And if the women there turn you down, there are probably plenty of guys there who'd be willing to pick up the slack.

Follow them home on thier bikes. ;)
Put the crack pipe down and step away from the MySpace.
Seriously, I met my wife on a dial-up BBS (REMEMBER THOSE?!) in the mid 90's. Those don't really exist any more. I didn't really have time to get into the dating scene.
Try coffee shops or concerts. Or, find someplace where people of similar interests to yours hang out.

Personal ads. At least then you'll be making your effort on girls that are interested in meeting SOMEONE. And if you "meet" enough of them, one of them will eventually be interested in meeting YOU.

Take some dance classes. Even if you don't hit it off with anyone in the class, you'll know how to dance which always comes in handy.

Come paint my house and fix my fence and I will give you a few phone numbers.......
I'm not really a bar person... I'm actually quite surprised that I meet some decent girls at the club though. If you play your cards right, you won't end up with a ****.
The only problem though is convincing her you're not one of THOSE guys though, haha

I dated a guy I met on a backpacking trip organized by friends. Nothing like being out in the cold and the grime with no bathrooms to separate the whiny losers out.

How can you appreciate my artistic vision if you never let me finish? Always with the water hose and pepper spray.

Forget "girls" and concentrate on women. Hands down, Lowes and Home Depot are right at the top. Women [customers, sometimes staff] in these places know how to get things done, are easily entertained, and low maintenance.

That sounds like the ideal place, to me. Too bad my friends and practically everyone I know are whiney losers.

Oh yeah, I really need to take some dance lessons. My "Uncoordinated White Man Dance" is pretty good at gettin' the ladies, but I need to learn some new techniques.
You have some good advice offered here. I would also point one thing out. Be aware that some of the places metioned earlier are used by married women to seek out men for affairs. Coffee shops especially are notorious for this problem. Really try to get to know the person and make sure she is not married. You don't want or need that kind of trouble.
The infamous "Suburban Cougar" eh?
