What is your opinion on these pedals... and if they are worth the purchase, where can I find a good deal on them? All the places that I know to look are listing them a little pricey.:(

I've had mine for a few weeks now and I love them, it is a little hard to clip in at first, most SPDs you just put your foot down and you're in, these you need to be in the right spot. I got mine cheap on eBay.

They're really nice, i like my spds though cause i can use them with sandals when i'm just riding around at camp or something, and then when i go biking i can just throw on my shoes. Egg beaters don't seem to provide the "best of both worlds", though they are still quite GOOD.

GET THEM! They are amazing. I swear by these pedals in the store and so do many of our customers. You won't be dissapointed.

Great pedals !

You can buy a pair (2002 model) for $59.88 from :
http://www.lickbike.com/i0769050.htm

I purchased my eggbeaters from jensonusa for $49.99. Unfortunately they are not available anymore...

You can use www.qbike.com (http://www.qbike.com) to search multiple online bike shops and find the best deal for any part.

Good pedal for mtn and road. They also come in different price points. The highest being a full titanium version for almost $300.00.

If you're looking for a good pedal with a platform, check out Time's Control Z's. Time is famous for their durability and performance, and they've improved upon their A.T.A.C. pedals by adding a larger platform.

Last year's models are on sale anywhere that still has some. This year they have three models of varying materials and weights out. Should be a great pedal in muddy stuff. I've had mine for a while, but haven't done any trail riding since I put them on. Just playing around our place (dirt roads, hills, etc, but no trails). I like them so far.

I bought some way back but only used them once. Idea being is that I loke a quick foot down if I need to so I switched to studded flatties instead and that suits me fine.

If I were to ride purely on the road I'd probably go for the EBs. They are a terrific pedal and so far I've read nothing but good about them. If you were in the UK, I'd happily let you have mine as they've only got 20-30 miles on the 'clock'!

A stunning pedal.

I wouldn't be opposed to you shipping them to me. I’m sure the cost of shipping would be cheaper than buying new ones… up to you.

Well, I think I'm going to hold off on getting the "beaters" as someone mentioned. I'll get the feel of my existing pedals and if from there I don't like them, then I'll make the change.

Thx for the help,

-Joe
