the race is still happening since it's been planned and will be run by people who live in jacksonville. I'm not involved other than posting the original thread here (I would have raced but I need to be responsible and do homework).

that flyer is terrible. registration is at 820 Lomax St Jacksonville, FL. Five Points is a little shopping district just outside of downtown. if you can't find Heartworks/Inertia, it's kind of across the street from the Subway. it's a vegan restaurant/bakery/record store.

There was almost a fight with some frat boys on top of one of the bridges...they wouldn't get out of the way. As for almost getting "shot" at...what? This is the first I'm hearing of this.

Well, i'm really just exagerating, but as John, Chad and I rode around some part of town, we looked back and saw a white truck in the middle of the road and started hear multiple gun shots and it speed off.

It wasn't actually at us. No big deal either. Just funny.

We did have a blast. Jacksonville is a pretty cool town to ride in. Roads were a little slick, but we all survived.Everyone we met was super cool. The after party was a freakin' blast. I really liked that band at Joe's house.

Also, I cleaned my chain, cog, and chainring last night. Riding back from kickball, I threw the chain and gouged the crap out of my right crank arm. The pretty FSA logo looks like a cat clawed through it. Not sure why that happened.

If you can tune up my Paramount, there's a nice tip in it for you. Right here in my pocket...go ahead and grab it.
