Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. I have an Apollo RD Z2000 with Shimano SORA all round..... What would be involved with putting a triple on it?
STI Shifter: How do I adjust it to having 3 gears?
Front DR: will this accommodate 3 chainrings?
Crank: This I know I have to buy a new one!
BB: Will I need a longer spindle here?
Rear DR cage: will this be wide enough? lol i'm no stranger to taking the pliers to the cage lol after it had a tangle with the spokes i did that!

LOL I spend almost a year changing my triple SORA to a double. You would need a triple STI, front derailer, cranks and BB. It would be cheaper getting a new cassette with wider range , maybe smaller chain rings.
Shimano 8 speed goes from 12-27.

mine is 12-25..... if its that involved i wont bother cause i just wanted to spin up the steeper hills to save my knees that lil bit. but anyway.....im slowly getting stronger and finding it easier to get up the hills now... unless u still have all the triple parts? ;)
I'll get a lighter bike next time round with shimano 105..... *drools* should fly up the hills especially with Michelin Pro Race.
