I'm going down to 7-11 and this friend of mine wants me to get him some Hostess
Twinkies..So I sez "ok I'll get em"...

I get to the cash register and they ring it up and IT'S 1.68 $$ :eek:

I'm like WTF ?? two little sponge cake things with white goo in em cost 1.68 ??

Jesus Christ on a pogo stick !!...whats wrong with this world ??

I sez to the clerk "1.68 ??"...an he Sez "ya"...I sez "WOW WTF !!"

Those were like freaking .25 cents when I wuz a kid...

uhhh but anyway I gotta go ...I'll talk to ya later about this...

little debbie snacks are still 25 cents or 50 cents depending on where I get em, but ya, $1.68 for two twinkies is over the top, even if deep fried

inflation sucks, at 5% per year it means in about 14 years $1=50 cents

Have you seen what's happened to the price of corn (http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e346/DannoXYZ/Investments/061128-CORN.png) recently? That's the source of the HFCS used in those things...

corn's getting expensive cause now its being used for fuel, soybeans too---the city buses here are already on a soy based biodiesel program

I thought Hostess discontinued twinkie production? If so,t he shortage in supply would jack the price up.

all that packaged sweet stuff makes me want to ralph nowadays. i could eat it all day long as a kid and a teenager and still not get enough.
