At hoogy's request, I'm reposting this, it got lost during the big Post -Turkey crash! I guess the servers had too much turkey and were suffering from tryptophan overload!

Thursday: Metric century in Fort Wayne....not very eventful, just working off dinner. (Actually, 63.8 miles
Friday: Lake Wawasee and back from Fort Wayne: 102.4 miles, did a little sightseeing along this ride.
Saturday: I rode from Fort Wayne up through Millersburg to Eby Pines and made it back down to Syracuse, Indiana for a total of 102.6 miles, where I had my wife pick me up....I was running out of daylight.

The ride up through Millersburg was where I had my butt handed to me by an older Amishman riding an ancient Humber three speed! This tank of a bike must have weighed 40 pounds if it was an ounce! Enclosed oilbath chain and all, the guys over in C&V would have loved this bike! OK, I was clipping along at the time at about 20 mph and really felt great! This old guy came off of a side road and Started pulling away from me. I decided top catch up and he held a 24 mph pace for about 20 miles! I did eventually catch him, when he took a break! As it turned out, the old guy was 75 years old and a farrier (Shoed horses)! He was riding with his toolbox on the bike, adding another 40 pounds to the load. Talk about serious humiliation! I want this guy to train me!:D
