Foo - Hey, all!

Hey, Foosters! Despite a few posts here and there, it feels like it's been ages. Hopefully I'll be able to spend a bit more time here from now on. This whole move to Shanghai has been nuts, though mostly in a good way. It has meant that I am discovering the wonders of the 12-hour workday, but the people are great, the work is generally interesting, and my bike fits perfectly under my desk. Unfortunately, the biking in the city here kinda sucks. This weekend will be my first proper weekend here (the first one I had to work, the second one I had to fly back to pick up all my stuff that I didn't have the time to move the first time around), so I hope to be able to explore more of the city than my unfortunately brief commute allows. I extend an open invitation* to all Foosters to come and visit if you have the chance!

*Definition of "open invitation" is subject to change :D

but pandas are so cute...why cant we hug them?

Thanks! The commute is short enough that measuring it would probably depress me. If I hit all green lights, I would probably take 5-7 minutes. Downtown Shanghai is awfully compact and efficient :(
