Tonight it's supposed to turn from rain to sleet to freezing rain to snow by tomorrow, 3-6 inches! Go away, winter cr@pola!
I think we were spoiled by the fantastic November we had. Hopefully December settles down and we get more warm weather. Last year we got all of our snow in December. January and February were warm.
Oh well, I guess I'll be riding on the rollers for awhile.
Can you say "rollers", I bet you can.

Me...it's only snow and cold. As long as it ain't a freakin blizzard or so cold that my huevos freeze to the saddle, no biggie.

I wanted to commute today but my wife wouldn't have stood for it. As it turns out our roads have been dry all day. I really want to bike in tomorrow (mountian bike for a change) but I think I'm go to be sensible and not, primarily because I don't trust the drivers around here. The first day of snow at it seems as if half of them need to re-learn how to drive on snow.

The cold front sliced in a diagonal fashion. I'm in the NW suburbs and we got about 16 or 17" in 12 hours over Thursday/Friday. Coworkers and family in the SW suburbs only got about 4". My family in Missouri got over a foot. Just depends where you were on the side of the front, I guess.
Now it's deep freeze time!

HAPPY 25th Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)
Yeah...I wish....I'm more of a dyslexic 23. :D As for the trolling for Happy Birthdays....guilty as charged;).
Oh and it is still crappy out. I got a good session in on the trainer, but it has been too long and I have picked up 5 lbs and lost 75% of my form. Well, this happens every year, but it usually happens later, and lasts longer. Maybe this year I won't lose as much ground.
If the trails would clear then I could get out at least....

Chipcom, snow is all on the east side in the way of "lake effect", good for two snow days!
I'm gonna try spinning on my treader.

No more running in forests. I have run into too many trees that way....

We finally got a little over this way this morning...maybe an inch tops. Couple of folks I work with live over in Mentor - one took a snow day himself yesterday.
I am extremely bummed! I haven't ridden seriously in a week (for the first time in months). The roads around here still aren't completely cleared and so the 700x28's on my normal commuter aren't goint to cut it. I spent a little time switching over my lights to my old Schwinn Homegrown last night and taking it out for a quick sping to see how it might be. I was all psyched up to ride into work this morning (~9 miles each way) and then I wake up to find that every horizontal surface in my neighborhood is covered with 1/8" of ice. Maybe I need to get some studs...

I finally ventured out for 18 miles today after our 10" dusting five days ago. My county highway dept. did a heck of a job and my township dept is getting there. Anyway, my cabin fever is cured! :)

How can I be of service....
:D
No seriously I know what you mean. I don't mind riding in the cold, but it just seems like everyone did a half-aced job at clearing the snow this time, but it hasn't gone away. Leads to everything still being a mess.
