looks kind of cheap to me though. What would you pay for something like that?

The only Google results yield the auctions themselves, so the brand basically doesn't even exist. From my intermediate standpoint it seems like a damn good deal.

Are these "Odin" or "atomik peak" - lol brand bikes at all trust-worthy? Or should I best avoid no-name brands?

Like you said these brands dont exist outside of ebay. These "bikes" are cheap rubbish designed for cheap sale and low to no performance and durability. Do a forum search for the 'under $500 mtb' thread, and while your at it search for those threads re: "should I buy online//should I buy from my local bike shop (lbs)" As a rule of thumb you get what you pay for most of the time and if you did buy you will bend it and then YOU will mend it.
