Attempting? :o

Even I know that to you, attempting means conquering.

Which 3, Butterfield, Solvang, Grand Tour?

Even I know that to you, attempting means conquering.

Which 3, Butterfield, Solvang, Grand Tour?

How'd you guess? :p Yes...Brandy looks at the three lowest elevation rides and chooses them! I am considering Hemet as an option and depending on how my climbing improves, I'm not ruling out Eastern Sierra if a group from BF decides to do it. Who knows...I'm keeping my options open, but Butterfield is going to be my first!

I'm not coming close to committing to this, as it means I'd have to get up at 5 to leave at 5:30 for the second day in a row, to do nearly the same ride I did today.

However, the opportunty to meet Mr. Serious -and the rest of you ( I guess ;) ) - is certainly tempting me. If I manage to get off my keester tonight and get my bike stuff ready, is there a parking lot there? I'm assuming it'll be obvious, groups of bicycle gangs usually aren't hard to spot.

For those north the OC County Line, there's a small group of us doing the Palos Verdes Loop tomorrow at 7AM.

thats a good question....what is at that intersection? anything? a mini mall? a park? There is a park that runs along the west side of Magnolia. Park anywhere along there on the street, just north of Banning. Looky (http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&q=magnolia+and+banning+huntington+beach,+ca&ie=UTF8&oe=UTF-8&om=1&z=18&ll=33.643965,-117.970757&spn=0.002572,0.006073&t=h&iwloc=addr).

It's pretty obvious, once you're there.

OK, I'm tired, but I can't sleep. I'd have to be getting up in 6 hours to make this ride, which just isn't going to happen.

Hope you feel better. The pain from the spills kind of creep up on you.
I might go for a ride, but my lungs still hurt from the dust yesterday. So, I'm a big maybe on a ride today.

So, I'll at least do some Xmas shopping, and possible buy a tree....

Just got home, we had a nice little turnout and it was great to finally meet Bill (scootcore)!!! This ride was hard for me...I was in recovery mode, or should have been...and lagging way behind. I skipped Newport Coast and sat on PCH waiting for everyone. :p The ride ended with Los Primos...of course! :)

Thanks M.E. I didn't realize that the sunset was so distracting. ;) Oh...and I don't know if there are any pics from today. I skipped some of the climbing and sat my ass on PCH waiting for the boys. I just couldn't do it! :(

No :( face, lady! You rode a hard ride yesterday and your body was telling you something. No glory, my dear, if you injure yourself. Instead view it as a recovery ride and be happy for what you did. I'm not even doing a recovery ride today I'm so wiped! I'm just cleaning my place and doing laundry...which believe me is a recovery in and of itself. :p Anyway, you're doing great and you'll be all ready for the 100 next week!!! :D

Smokey? Is there a fire there? Pathetic, I know, but I haven't turned a TV or radio (other than Weekend Becomes Eclectic) on all day. :o

There does appear to be a fire in Moorpark, I think north of highway 118 (Balcom, Grimes, etc). It is too smokey for me to go exploring. I am staying inside.
