What's the best (cheapest) way to put a 1 1/8" fork on a Cannondale frame? I have a Prophet frame, and I don't want a lefty. The reducing washers made for this seem a little expensive ($30!), but I'm not sure what reducing headsets will work. The Cane Creek Double XC Flush seems promising. Will it work? Thank you for your responses.

Yes you could use reducer cups, then press in an 1 1/8" headset, or just buy a 1.5" headset to begin with. The Double XC Flush is a tad pricey though, but worth it. I have an FSA Big Fat Pig 1.5"-1 1/8" on my Transition, and I regret buying it. For one, it is caged bearings, and the thing is heavy as a Pig (haha). The crown race itself is a quarter pound!

You talked me into it. Good reviews on MTBR as well. So I bought a used Cane Creek Flush on eBay. Thanks for responding!

expatriate (that forum guy) is/was also selling a headset reducer... not sure if he still has it or not...
