Hi all. I'm Tall_Rider. I'm a newbie at riding, and just bought my bike a few months ago. I did it because I watched a friend pedal over 60 pounds off over the last summer. I stand 6'8" and use to weigh 220'ish in my younger days, but an inactive life style has ballooned me up to 290. I'm hoping to pick up some fitness tips and encouragment while trying to pedal a lot of this extra weight of of me.

Welcome :)
Whittle yourself down to 250-ish, even 260 would be good at your height (unless you're a ripped 280, then why change ;) ) Riding will do it.

Ripped 280? I wish!! 250 may be fine, but I have a bunch of flab on me from years of bad eating and no exercise. I guess I should worry about my body fat first before I actually worry about my weight, and it's at an unhealthy 36% according to my Tanitat scale.

Welcome!

I grew up in the Cleveland Area and still have relatives in Mentor. Nice little town. Spent some time there over christmas holiday this year.

(Really ejoyed the snow, but was ready to get home and ride!)
