Well I'm hooked

Hi. My name is Scott and I'm a Crossaholic. :D


This was my first year racing and I'm hooked. So much so that I just got an early Christmas present from my wife, a new crossbike!! It is a 2007 Trek XO1 and I just picked it up yesterday. I got out for a hour on it yesterday and man is it fast :eek: (especially compared to the mountain bike I was using). I'll post pictures tomorrow. Trying to spend as much time on it as I can in the next couple of weeks so I'll be use to it and can race on it in the Shasta Race Series.

I'm right there with you man. I've been getting more and more into cycling over the past year and a half and this past Monday's cross race was the most fun I've had the whole time. Forget using cross to train for the summers. I'm going to be using next summer to prepare for the fall cross season.

The xo1 is a sweet bike. I almost bought a 2004 model on craigslist but the frame was a bit too small :(

I'm now looking around for a used Jakes the Snake, but I might buy just a Jake and replace some components.

Anyways, I'm eager to try out some more cross too. I haven't done an actual race, but I did a practice run with a friend, and it's pretty fun!
