Hey guys, just saw this yesterday:

What do you think? Would this work well or is this just a gimmik? Looks cool, anyway.
Looks almost as much fun as these:

thats awsome but i think that id much rather have the motorised one:D
You could probably mount nokians and have similar results. I don't know that this device will spread the weight well enough to matter.
What kind of gearing does it have?
What about pictures in action?

if i had a mountain and powder i would snowboard
i wouldnt even think about the bike/snomobile contraption
Just watched the video. That track doesn't allow him to ride above the snow at all!! It just throws stuff everywhere. The front sled just pushes snow around.

Just like my bike with two wheels plows thru snow. Except the bike with two wheels is much easier to pedal, because it does not drag the stupid ski along. And it rolls on places without snow.
Some people just don't understand friction, flotation, or human power. They just try any old thing.
You notice they are going downhill in the video. So you don't notice how much work it is on a flat surface. Very misleading, sleazy.

yeah, and I don't like the fact that the ski means no front brake! which all know is the fastest.

That's a good point. However if it's below freezing and you ride in some deep powder snow the front brake does not work anyway. Fortunatly in the snow the resisitance is so high that when you stop pedaling you just stop anyway, so it's OK. Unless you are going down a big hill you won't be going fast. Even down a big hill if the snow is deep you will have to pedal hard to even move.
this is so cool!!! id try this after snowboarding !!
Go that way, really fast; if something gets in your way . . . turn.
Just watch out for this kid...
