Next week is suppose to be in the 40's. I have two questions. Are the eagles hanging around the bridges along the Mississippi river yet? The second one is are there any suitable roads that I could bike ride on in the Dubuque area to see the eagles. Usually I go to the quad cities in January and photograph them, but since it is so warm I thought about making it a bike/photography trip. I see where Hwy 151 crosses the Mississippi it looks like a park. Also there is a point north of 151 called eagle point. Is this a good spot?

If anyone is thinking about making this trip, I went last week. Dubuque has a paved bike trail that runs from where Hwy 151 crosses the river to Eagle Point. Eagle point park was closed. They have heated restrooms and plenty of parking. The trail is only about 5 miles but runs right along the river to a lock. The eagles were not out due to the river not being frozen and the snow had all melted. However I am sure around the third week in January they will be hanging around the bridges and the lock.
