I have been wanting to get better pics of my lighting setup. The first pic is a couple of cold cathode tubes in a 1.25” plastic pipe. I used this so I could mount my red blinky nice and high. This is a cheap light setup about 20.00 without batteries. It runs on a 12v battery though I run it on a 11.1v LI on battery that runs my HID light.
I bought mine from this place.
http://www.vibelights.com/ these are the same lights that you see under cars and computers and such. They are not as bright as a really good blinky but a 12” bar of white light is extremely noticeable. Plus they are 360 degree’s and they light up everything around as you can see. I can run my 10w HID and these both with a 8ah li ion cell for atleast 5 hours.
This next pic is with my trailtech HID light going too.

Third pic is the the cateye l000 going.

the last two pics are with the flash to show my stealth reflective tape. White on the frame and black on the black parts.
Myself I think being different works better then getting brighter and brighter. When I added the cold cathode tubes I got cars pulling up saying how well they see me and lots of comments from people on the sidewalk when I ride by.

getting good solder joints is critical. I had enough of them fail with all my screwing around. or the wires would break on the connectors or I did not putt a strain relief on it and so forth (G)
batteryspace now has a switch that mounts to the bar so now I have a decent sitch. I had the cathodes mounter to the main tubes on my df when I was riding it that worked well doo though it did not help that much from the rear.
