I just got mine and they are softer and fit better than smart wools! I don't know how they will hold up in the long run but for 15 bucks vs 60 bucks it's worth a shot. I could not find the 100 percent wool for men. The sleeves are longish and they come in black and white so they should fit a man provided the man is not too terribly large. I am 43 around the chest and the Xlg is not tight. The shirt is stretchy at any rate.
