Hi I have a Shimano HG93 9 Speed chain and don't have one of those Shimano pins but I do have a SRAM 9-Speed Powerlink connector. Is it safe and good to use it on the Shimano chain?

It's worked fine for me. In fact, I am starting to think I like the combo better than a straight SRAM chain.

Use the Wipperman Connex, it's even better
I've put those on all sorts of chains

Run them on several bikes, never had a problem.

I've been using the HG/powerlink combo for about a year now, with no problems whatsoever.
