Just bought a bike for the first time in YEARS....
Initially wanted a roadbike, but it was going to be TOO expensive, so went for a Hybrid instead - Specialized Sirrus for £399.
Rode it home, up some steep hills, and didn't get off to walk once, to my delight!
Bought it to continue my fitness changes, and I think it'll do the job grand. 700x28 wheels for a bit less effort, and a comfortable riding position.
YEARS ago, I had an entry level mountain bike, and then a campag avanti equipped road bike. The roadbike was easier, faster, but a pain in the ass, literally. This thing is close to the MB for comfort, but definitely feels as good as my road bike for effort.

Nice bike, Belfast - congrats. I have a friend with last years model and he loves it - very dependable and quick.

hey, nice bike... specialized surely has a good line of bikes this year, and the sirrus is definately a comfortable yet efficient rider. i like that you can put front a front rack, rear rack, and fenders on it if you want. i was originally weary of the seatpost shock, but after riding it i think they did a great job!
enjoy!

Oh my god...
I think this is exact same bicycle I am aiming to BUY!
I am also in Cali - in Alhambra and they have one for $210
It looks very similar to this one! I will go to the store tomorrow to check it out more.
Is that how much yours cost?
By the way, guys, bicycle, scwhinn from Wal Mart, for $126... are they strong enough for 5 thousand miles ride?

Ye Gods....things certainly are cheaper there, eh? I paid £400 for it, or about what, $650, give or take $50.
After five days of use I can say it is EXCELLENT for my needs.
None of the pain in my perenium (sp?) that I get on the stationary bikes in the gym (18minutes max there, then the skin is raw).
Oh hold on, the MSRP is $500 over there... not sure if that's the same bike then.

Great Bike, Great choice, I'm partial to Specialized as i've owned two and it's always been a smooth shifting quality bike regardless of price or component level.
