Hello to all of you well adjusted cyclists out there,
My name is Mark. I got the alias beefus while attending Ball State University in Indiana.
I have upgraded my location to West Lafayette since then. :)
I work at the Subaru/Toyota factory on our pilot team and take classes at Purdue.
My hobby is bicycle racing. After many years of mediocre results and some testing, I realized that my will and drive far outstripped my genetic potential for superior racing. Now I am a USCF cat.3 track cyclist.
I treat it like a hobby and, when asked, I tell my co-workers that it is like stock car racing except the participants muscles are the engine and we wear significantly less safety equipment. Tactics are very similar and almost every dog has his day.
My current personal steeds in order of the fun I have with them are: Bianchi Pista Concept (w/Campy Record), Klein Quantum (w/ Dura-Ace), Cannondale Track (Suntour), Kestrel km40 (w/Chorus single speed conversion), Haro (bmx), Paramount Series 50 (LX old school).
I bought my wife a cannondale 'cross bike and put slicks on it. It gets very little use :( .
I'm sure the "dirt" bikes would jump to the top of the list if I had any skill on them. That' my life
