Check out www.phillybikeclub.org and www.dvbc.org. Two local clubs with lots of rides. If you don't know the area you can latch on to rides with them. I am doing one southwest of Philly with the DVBC on Saturday. Most rides in the area will include lots of hills.

If you are going out on your own, start from behind the art museum. There is a large fountain and folks start gathering each Saturday and Sunday morning to go out. Again, if you want to go with a group, find start times on the PBC website listed above. Great area to ride in if you like hills.

If you prefer something relatively flat and considerably slower, you can ride from the art museum to Valley Forge National Park and back. Is a very pleasant ride and includes riding along the river/canal more than half the way. Round trip is 40+ miles. This will include a ride through Manayunk, a section of Philadelphia along the canal that has become very "chic". Shops and outdoor eating and lots of bike riders. Main Philadelphia hangout for 'posers' after the art museum area. May even be bigger on the poser scene than the art museum as is more concentrated.

Have fun! Will be very nice if the weather cooperates.
