Anyone have a copy of old routes for the Seattle-To-Portland ride in the Washington state? If so, can you put up a link for it?

Thanks!

They have the map in pdf form at the Cascade Bike Club (http://216.119.109.50/EandR/stp_routemap.cfm). I did it last year it was a blast and it is well marked so on ride day you won't need it that much. Enjoy the ride PM me if you have any questions. Are you planning to do it in one or two days?

The STP is a great ride! Two hundred miles with 8,000 of your closest friends. For about the first ten miles or so it's pretty crowded as the 'peloton' winds its' way through Seattle city streets. Once you get into the Kent area, it starts to thin out as everyone finds their own pace and riding partners. My wife and I are going to do it this year on our tandem.

Some of us suggested that they put the map on the back of the jersies like they do for the t-shirts. The person in charge of the jerseys agreed it was a good idea and promised it would be done but that doesn't seem to have panned out. Oh well... it would have been nice to be able to just look at the back of the person in front of me and not have to fish around my back pocket for a sweat-drenched and deteriorating map but I'll live. :D

Admittedly it kinda looks like a large patriotic peanut M&M.

I stopped there too and had one of those egg mcmuffin things the local highschool was cooking up. I asked them if they were using portions of the World's Largest Egg. :D

Khuon, hope you enjoyed your sandwich. That was the local FFA (Future Farmers of America) chapter's burger shack. That organization was my best experience in high school, so you were supporting a great cause! Thanks for posting the picture, now my town might not be on the map, but at least it's on the internet. A couple of students in an art class did that paint scheme right after Sept 11. Normally it's just white.
